Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. Aspen Ladd trained in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her debut as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd then went on to take down three opponents in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents were defeated within the first minute. Aspen returned to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen and beat her in a an unanimous vote to remove a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 after signing with Invicta FC. Invicta eleven saw Aspen slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen used the superior abilities she acquired in wrestling to beat McGill. She ended the fight with a TKO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18.
