Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on August 20th, 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Famous for her naive and charming characters. Adams was among seven siblings that grew up when she was a kid in Castle Rock, Colorado. She was born while her father worked in the U.S. Military in Italy. The actress began acting and dancing professionally at the end of the 90s. She was part of Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later the Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she joined an area theatre in Minnesota which was where she got her first role in a documentary mock-up on beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Following her debut on screen as a charming but snarky contestant, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Janet Leigh was married to Tony Curtis between June 1951 until September 1962. Her children include Kelly Curtis (and Jamie Lee Curtis) and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was discovered by actress Norma Shearer and signed a contract to be a part of MGM in the 1940s. Over the course of the 1960s, Leigh appeared in popular films such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
